Luisa Barbieri: Associate Professor in Chemical Fundamentals of Technologies at the “Enzo Ferrari” Engineering Department (DIEF) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). Teaching activity of Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry at DIEF and at the Military Academy of Modena. Responsible for several degree theses, doctorates, scholarships, research grants and projects. Member of the Teaching Board of the Doctoral Course in Civil, Environmental and Materials Engineering of UNIMORE and of the Board of BIOGEST-SITEIA (interdepartmental research center of UNIMORE for the improvement and valorisation of agri-food biological resources). Research activity concerning the chemical fundamentals of products and processes, in particular regarding inorganic chemistry, including both natural and recycled raw materials. Author of over 200 publications, 2 patents and several conference presentations. Profitable activity in the environmental sector: participant in the Technical Committee for the ECOPED/RIDOMUS Service Certification relating to the control process of the supply chain for the transport and treatment of domestic WEEE – Group 4 (2010-present); teacher in 5 National Schools on waste and recycling (2004-2014); scientific manager of the PINECOR project (ECO-efficient INTEGRATED WEEE RECOVERY PROCESS) co-financed by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety (2022-2024); scientific manager for UNIMORE in the Laboratory of the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network LITCAR/ENVIREN (2005-2010); member of the Directors Board of the Division of Environmental Chemistry and Cultural Heritage of the Italian Chemical Society (2013-2015); co-organizer of international and national events (Workshop “Engineering and Circular Economy: the Road to Sustainability, 2021, Spain; Conference “Engineering for the environment and the territory”, 2011-2014-2017 and International Workshop “Research and Innovation for to Sustainable Waste Management”, 2015, Italy); partner of the UNIMORE EcoTecnoMat spin-off (2011-2015).
