Gabriele Melluso is the National President of Assoutenti, the National Association for the Protection of Consumers, active for over forty years in defending citizens’ rights. Trained as an administrative lawyer, conciliator, and specialist in issues relating to marine environment protection, he combines solid legal expertise with a deep passion for social justice and consumer advocacy.
Under his leadership, Assoutenti is charting a course towards a future grounded in civic awareness, innovation, and sustainability, promoting responsible consumption and ever-stronger rights for citizens. Always active in social and institutional arenas, he has conceived and driven projects of national and international importance, including Marine Litter and Citizen for Waste End. Most recently, he coordinated the project “Bioplastics and Community: Learning to Recycle,” carried out in collaboration with Asia, ANCI, and Biorepack.
He has represented Assoutenti on numerous institutional panels, contributing tangibly to the promotion of consumer education, the defence of civil rights, and the enhancement of environmental sustainability as a pillar of responsible citizenship.
