Eleonora Foschi is a permanent researcher at the Circular Economy Lab within the Department for Sustainability of ENEA – the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. She is also part of the core faculty and member of the Centre for Sustainability and Climate Change at Bologna Business School, where she teaches circular economy and value chains, business sustainability, and business ethics across various programs. With a background in environmental engineering and a PhD from the University of Bologna, Eleonora has built her expertise in the circular economy through participation in several EU-funded projects and international collaborations. She has coordinated tasks in projects such as CheMatSustain, BIO-PLASTICS EUROPE, eCircular, CEI, TRIS, and ROCK. Her international experience includes visiting research positions at the Resource and Recycling Lab at Delft University of Technology, the Centre for Sustainability Management at Leuphana University, and the Catholic University of Lille. Previously, she also worked as pioneer at the innovative start-up Repack in Finland and she has been professional technician at the IPPC Unit of ARPAE – the Regional Agency for the Protection of the Environment. Her research investigates both technical and managerial dimensions of the circular economy, focusing on innovative materials, eco-design, business model innovation, and sustainability accounting.
