Eng. Corrado Di Loreto co-founded Nextechs Srl in 2007, assuming the role of CEO and steering the company’s technological innovation in the waste sector. He brings extensive aerospace experience, having worked at Finmeccanica/Leonardo from 1990 to 2007. During that period, he held roles of increasing responsibility—from Satellite Controller to Director of Operations—overseeing the launch and orbital positioning of spacecraft and their ground systems. The solutions and projects subsequently developed by Nextechs have drawn upon this experience in one of the most advanced sectors of the market.

His academic training is robust and multidisciplinary. He obtained a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications in 1988 with highest honours, followed in 1998 by a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of L’Aquila, specialising in Automatic Control and Telecommunications and graduating summa cum laude. In 2003, he completed a PhD focusing on nonlinear identification algorithms for complex systems, with papers published in IEEE journals.

Beyond his engineering background, he has independently deepened his study of Theoretical Physics. He speaks fluent English and served in the Electronic Warfare Department of the Italian Army from 1989 to 1990. In 1988, he was awarded the prestigious title of Alfiere del Lavoro by the President of the Republic, reserved for Italy’s top students.
