Alessandra Bonoli is a Full Professor of Raw Materials Engineering at the University of Bologna.
She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and is the founder and coordinator of the Research Group on Transition Engineering and Circular Economy, whose activities focus on building a sustainable world from environmental, social, and economic perspectives.

Her scientific work primarily focuses on: the treatment, valorisation, and recycling of raw materials and solid waste according to the principles of circular economy and urban mining; the development of technologies for climate adaptation and urban resilience; the conservation and recovery of wastewater; and environmental impact and life cycle assessment.

Actively engaged in outreach and the promotion of awareness on these topics, she is the author and co-author of around 200 publications in national and international journals.
