The transition to a circular economy is vital to achieving sustainability and reducing waste. However, one of the biggest hurdles to this transition is finding adequate funding. Under the flag of the EU-funded projects DEFINITE-CCRI and CircularInvest, ICLEI Europe has partnered with consultancies, research organisations, and funding institutions to provide project development assistance and guide the most promising circular economy projects towards success. From technical expertise to financial support, and knowledge sharing opportunities, we will improve the chances of these projects getting funded. Let’s work together to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy, and pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future!
Alessandra Barbieri works as Strategic Communications & Campaigns Officer at ICLEI Europe. Over the past 8 years she has been involved in the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities of more than 50 projects funded under the Horizon and Interreg programmes in the fields of energy, environment, and bioeconomy. Since joining ICLEI, Alessandra has worked on projects fostering the uptake of circular economy practices in Europe, mainly under the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative.
