From the earliest stages of our development we assumed the legal form of Benefit Company, explicitly wishing to pursue not only business objectives, but also
common benefit by operating in a responsible, sustainable and transparent manner towards people, communities, territories and the environment. We take sustainability seriously: we have integrated into our corporate purpose the specific aim of having an impact on society and the environment.

The philosophy is in our Logo: rethink, refill, reuse, reduce, relax. In these five words we have “encapsulated” our manifesto.
Rethink the way we produce and consume, with a view to of the highest quality, but also with a strong focus on the environment. Eliminating unnecessary and disposable packaging, reducing water and plastic consumption and promoting a new life for products.
And for that we also deserve some relaxation.
Our mission: we do not claim to be the perfect company, but we do strive, every to continuously improve our products, researching and developing cutting-edge solutions in the field personal care and home products. We are committed to creating effective products in a format that is sustainable for us and the environment.
And we decided to do this by involving all our customers in this journey, working together on the products and that is how we intend to continue. The highest quality is a must for us, sustainable format and sustainable consumption as well.
The R5 system of household products and kits (bottles and permanent refills) aims to reduce and prevent the production of additional plastic. We decided from the very beginning to to measure the environmental footprint of our products throughout their life cycle.
Started by carrying out a quick LCA (Life Cycle Screening) study to compare the environmental impacts with those of conventional products. The study showed that the R5 concentrated product packaging and shipping system generates a strong reduction on all impact categories and in particular that related to Climate Change, measured in kg CO2 eq. in.
We use ‘good’ ingredients: our household sprays are made with surfactants of plant-derived surfactants from waste from the processing of corn, sugar cane and beet processing waste.
Each of our products in the Beauty line is created with the involvement of professionals experts in skin and hair care, to guarantee high performance, through good ingredients and good for the environment. Our solid products contain only what is necessary to take care of your hair. Without silicones, microplastics and preservatives. The effects can be seen
immediately on the hair and body.
Our Beauty products are ALL plastic free, 100% Made in Italy, vegan, nickel tested and dermatologically tested. They contain between 97% and 98% ingredients of natural origin, are free of silicones, microplastics and preservatives. They are totally water-free.
This drastically reduces Co2 emissions from transport and eliminates disposable plastic bottles completely disposable plastic bottles completely. (70% of the cosmetics industry’s waste comes from packaging).
Every R5 product is PLASTIC NEGATIVE certified by RePurpose Global: We are proud to be among the first companies in the world, and the first in Italy, to more than offset our plastic footprint by becoming Plastic Negative with rePurpose Global. Achieving our Plastic Negative certification is a step in our company’s sustainability plan. We recognise that there is more work to be done to protect our planet and we are taking immediate and long-term action to address our carbon footprint. 5% of our turnover is dedicated to social and reforestation projects.
We are constantly researching and experimenting with different concentrated products to identify and improve the product-effectiveness-format combination that combines the objective of reducing environmental impacts, also through increasing the guarantee of high product performance.
We believe that achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda must move every company.
With R5, we are focusing on SDG 12: Ensure sustainable patterns of production and consumption patterns, and on SDG 14: Life under water. Conserve and sustainably use sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development We are also working towards SDG 6.e.
