The in-depth knowledge of steel processes combined with a very strong vocation for research and technological innovation have also allowed Polytec to become a world leader in robotics applied to the iron and steel sector. Recently, the internal mechatronic engineering department has launched a study project aimed at compensating for the low technological level of the ferrous scrap separation process phase, by introducing an innovative robotic system integrated with a vision system and AI algorithm for materials identification. This approach aims to improve sorting efficiency by increasing the quantity and quality of recycled material and while removing operators from hazardous areas.

With more than fifteen years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Polytec Greenpower operates as a general contractor for the construction of photovoltaic systems with technological characteristics that respond to the critical issues of industrial production processes. In 2022 alone, this division installed photovoltaic plants for over 90 MW of power, with a potential forecast of over 200 MW for next year, in Italy and abroad.
