Manuel Amador Cervera, The University of Deusto

Manuel Amador Cervera is currently a PhD candidate in the field of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Circular Economy at the University of Deusto (Spain). His research activity is focused on food loss and waste issues and the impact on the sustainability of food value chains that such loss and waste entails. As part of his background, he studied environmental sciences at The University of Cadiz, including a year-long stay at The University of Catania, and later he completed a Master’s degree in environmental engineering at The University of Seville. His Master’s thesis delved into the EU Product Environmental Footprint (PEF), a topic which has steered his academic career towards its current direction. He has also worked in the research area of sewage sludges and as an intern in environmental consultancy. He is presently working on several research projects at European, national, and regional levels at The University of Deusto.
