Waga Energy transforms landfill gas into biomethane. Thanks to patented WAGABOX® technology, Waga Energy is able to recover the methane that comes out from the degradation of the organic component contained in the waste and feed the gas grid or liquefy it for use outside the network.
WAGABOX® technology combines membrane filtration with cryogenic distillation to separate methane from other components of landfill gas. Waga Energy develops this solution through a dedicated business model: it buys landfill gas from landfill operators, manages the construction and operation of WAGABOX® and processes the sale of biomethane to dedicated end buyers.
