RIUSE Network (Solidarity and Ethical Used Clothing Collection Network) is a network founded in 2012 and composed of 10 nonprofit organizations that continue the project of recovering used clothing, which was initiated in 1998 in the territories of the Dioceses of Milan, Bergamo, and Brescia. It operates actively in the territories of the Dioceses of Milan, Brescia, and Bergamo and is part of the national group of social cooperatives that collect over one-third of the total quantity in the Italian System. RIUSE Network is the Italian organization that belongs to TESS, a European Economic Interest Group that brings together nonprofit organizations in Spain, France, and Belgium, managing a total of 70,000 tons of textile waste.
The social and environmental impact assessment of RIUSE Network's activities results in a Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 2.58, indicating that for every euro invested, 2.58 euros have been generated.
RIUSE Network develops innovative activities for textile waste management, providing environmental consultancy services on sustainability and promoting a qualified and traceable supply chain that operates at the national level.
