Habitech – Trentino Technological District for Energy and the Environment is a consortium company founded in 2006 in Rovereto and recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Its mission is to transform the construction and energy markets through innovation, promoting business networks and specialised supply chains in the fields of sustainable building, energy efficiency, and smart technologies for territorial management.
With 121 members—including private companies, research institutions, universities, and public entities—Habitech is independent from both public and private funding, reinvesting 100% of its profits into high-impact, innovative, and sustainable projects. It is a Benefit Corporation, committed to operating responsibly and transparently in relation to people, communities, and the environment.
Nationally and internationally recognised as a benchmark for sustainable building, Habitech is certified as a B Corp, and has obtained EcoVadis, Just, and Family Audit certifications. It is part of the Distretto Città della Quercia in Rovereto, and is a founding member and promoter of the Green Building Council Italia.
Habitech manages leading initiatives such as ARCA, the first Italian certification for timber buildings; Odatech, the body for verifying and accrediting energy certifiers in Trentino; Greenmap, a programme that promotes sustainability as a strategic driver for industrial innovation; and DecHab, a decarbonisation strategy service for buildings, products, and companies.
Habitech actively participates in Italian and European funded projects, confirming its role as a strategic partner in the development of innovative solutions for the future of construction and energy.
